Lord Hill Park, officially known as Lord Hill Regional Park, is a significant natural space situated near the urban area of Snohomish County, offering visitors a semi-wilderness experience. The park is located in Snohomish, Washington, around 40 miles north of Seattle, making it a relatively close getaway for those residing in or visiting the Seattle area1. It covers an expansive area, with different sources mentioning it encompassing between 1,300 to 1,463 acres, primarily consisting of forests, but also featuring ponds, meadows, and wetlands.

Lord Hill Regional Park offers a substantial natural space for various outdoor activities, including hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, and running, amid a serene and picturesque environment. Its proximity to urban areas like Seattle makes it a convenient destination for those seeking a nature retreat.

Pintxo by Valdemar is a lively establishment located in Woodinville, Washington, specializing in Spanish-inspired tapas, a curated selection of wines, and artisanal cocktails. The essence of Pintxo by Valdemar lies in blending Spanish culinary tradition with Pacific Northwest (PNW) innovation, creating a unique and unforgettable gastronomic experience for its patrons.

The name “Pintxo” (pronounced ‘peen-cho’) is derived from a Spanish term synonymous with small bite-sized food items, akin to tapas, highlighting the core of the culinary offerings at this establishment. The restaurant is an initiative by the Valdemar Family, who also own the Walla Walla-based winery Valdemar Estates. They decided to extend their vinicultural expertise to the culinary domain by opening Pintxo by Valdemar in downtown Woodinville, thereby creating a space where guests could savor Spanish tapas alongside wines from Bodegas Valdemar.

The establishment occupies a sizable area of 2,750 square feet, with a seating capacity for 70 to 80 guests spread across the main dining room, bar, and a 1,500-square foot covered patio. Additionally, there’s a private dining room that can accommodate up to 10 people. The interior decor mirrors the Valdemar family’s rich vinicultural legacy, adorned with eye-catching vineyard photographs by Ana Martínez Bujanda, which adds to the authentic and cozy ambiance of the place
